The high level areas were safely inspected with a little help from our in house drone survey team EKDigital, who provided us with high quality drone footage images of the flat roof and high level fascia’s which were a valuable resource for our report.
The blocks are in a relatively exposed location and the elevations exposed to wind driven rain clearly showed a requirement for more extensive masonry repointing. Within our Planned maintenance programme we recommended replacement materials from painted timber to through coloured factory finished products so to reduce maintenance requirements and subsequent costs in future.
