Our drone was used due to ensure the surveyor could get a full and clear understanding of the condition of the roof and recommend appropriate works and budgets to undertake relation to programmed works and immediate repairs.
Drone ensured no requirement for scaffolding or other access equipment for close inspection of various elements of the elevations and roof areas and that the survey could be undertaken without impacting on the residents quickly and safely.
Challenges for the drone team were control of the area and challenges involved with flying the drone close to the building especially for the rear elevation areas where planning had to be undertaken to ensure adequate and safe separation from the elevated tube line while ensuring the roof detail was captured.
